IT Technologist
In this important role, you will be responsible for maintaining, securing and optimizing the computer network at the studio, administering the hardware and software concerns of the staff and contributing to the development of the company's vital IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has excellent problem solving skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art environment.
Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of Server & Desktop systems in a high-pressure production environment.
- General maintenance of printers, faxes and scanners.
- Anti-virus & spyware software, data backup and recovery.
- Maintenance of global VoIP network.
- PC troubleshooting skills to resolve hardware/software problems.
- Maintenance of inventory & network infrastructure documentation.
- Work co-operatively with our System Administrators in other studios around the world.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years experience managing medium to large networks
- Hard-bitten experience with office applications on Microsoft Windows XP/Vista desktops
- Solid experience of both Linux (CentOS/Debian) and Windows Server environments
- Experience managing technically-knowledgeable users' desktops in a production environment
- Instinctive knowledge of IP, DNS, routing, etc.
- Knowledge of the installation and maintenance of VoIP networks
- Experience with the care and feeding of Windows Active Directory or effective substitute
- Solid experience with MS Exchange or effective calendaring substitute
